OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Players’ 75th season continues its fall showcase productions with “Don’t Drink the Water,” with long-time member and actress Sherri Baker in the director’s chair.
This Woody Allen farce is set in a foreign embassy, where all sorts of mayhem take place.
If you like Allen’s work, you will love this show.
Baker has a couple of milestones coming up – 2013 marks her 25th year with the Players.
Her acting credits include “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” “The Lion in Winter,” “Murder at the Vicarage,” and most recently she played the prosecutor in “Witness for the Prosecution.”
Last summer, she directed an extremely successful “Caught in the Net,” for the Players’ 75th fundraising dinner.
And, on August 10 she will become Sherri Lynn Metz as she and Players’ member, Nelson Metz, exchange vows.
They have worked together on a number of shows “Moon over Buffalo” and “The Fourth Wall” to name a couple.
On stage as well, they make a great team.
Production dates are September 13 and 14, 20 and 21 at 8 p.m., with a matinee at 2 p.m. on September 22.
Tickets are $10/adults; $8/seniors and $7/students.
Reservations are recommended and can be made at the Players’ Box Office (343-5138).
