Oswego – Shirley M. Deban, 86, a former resident of West Utica Street, passed away Wednesday, at Seneca Hill Manor.
Mrs. Deban was born in Fulton, the daughter of the late Abraham and Mae (Dann) Stacy.
She and her sister Jane grew up in the St. Francis House orphanage in Oswego.
She was the wife of the late William Deban, who died in 1968.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Deban was employed as a caseworker with Catholic Charities in Syracuse. She was also a house mother for Tri Delta Sorority in Syracuse.
She was a communicant with St. Paul’s Church.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Diana (Lawrence) Burdick of Warrensburg, and Angela (Dr. Richard) Tesoriero of Hannibal; 3 sons, William (Catherine) Deban, Michael (Susan) Deban, and Patrick (Priscilla) Deban, all of Oswego; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Jane Reitz; and a grandson, Lawrence Burdick.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday, in St. Paul’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
