FULTON, NY – Shirley R. Hamilton, 72, of Fulton, died Thursday November 27, 2014, at Oswego Hospital.
She was born on November 26, 1942, in Fulton and was a life resident of the Fulton area.
Shirley’s work life started in the 1960s where she was employed by General Electric in Liverpool for eight years.
She then went to work at the Nestle Chocolate Factory and seasonally at Birdseye from 1973-1985.
Shirley also worked for Sac’s in Liverpool and at Petra Fasa in Syracuse.
She was an avid bowler and played at Bowl-a-rama and the Lakeview Lanes.
Shirley enjoyed needlepoint on plastic canvas.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Carl Hotaling, Sandy Kimball, Earl “Butch” Hotaling, Alan Hotaling and John Franklin “Frank” Hotaling.
Surviving are her six children, Cheryl Hamilton of Pennellville, William Hamilton Jr. of Fulton, Michele (Craig) Bradley of Palermo, Theresa Akarpinar of Oswego, Eric (Annette) Hamilton of Oswego and Joanne Taylor of Fulton; two sisters, Mary Kimball of Volney and Sharon Dann of Fulton; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
