The Oswego County Office for the Aging will sponsor an informational seminar on Tuesday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The class, “Medicare 101” will take place at the Oswego County Health Department on Bunner Street in Oswego.
“As the nation’s baby boomers sign up for Medicare, they face a bewildering assortment of options for their healthcare,” said Sara Sunday, Oswego County aging services specialist. “This seminar will help those people who will become Medicare beneficiaries to understand the nuts and bolts of how their healthcare may change.”
The Oswego County Office for the Aging provides local information and referrals for services for the aging. These services include: outreach and socialization, healthcare and nutrition, volunteer service, transportation and legal assistance.
