OSWEGO, NY– On Oct. 30, SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations and the Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training will gather women from across New York State for “Connections,” a day-long conference to be held at The American Foundry from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s theme is Overcoming Fear – Managing Risk – Maintaining Growth.
The keynote speaker, Susan Bertrand, president of Maureen’s Hope Foundation, will present “Overcoming Fear to Grow Your Passion.”
JoBeth Dellinger, owner of Artist Pianos, Ltd., will speak on “Stacking Turtles: Lessons in Sustainable Business Growth” and Dr. Mary Starr Carter, Total Wellness Doc and Mom, will talk about “Overcoming Fear in the Online and Offline World.”
Joleene DesRosiers Moody of Joleene Speaks, former CNY television reporter turned transformational speaker, author and life coach, promises to get us moving during her presentation, “Overcoming Fear: Jump With Your Eyes Closed” and Sherry Auble, the Savvy Sales and Marketing Pro, will entice us with the “Secrets of Six Figure Women.”
To round out the day, Yvonne Conte, speaker and owner of Humor Advantage, will motivate us with her new program, “Leadership, Character Development and Connections.”
Our emcee will be Farah Jadran, editor of Syracuse Woman Magazine and teacher of Communication Studies at SUNY Oswego.
In the afternoon, attendees will have a chance to have their headshot taken by Dayger Photography. There will be no sitting fee.
Hair and makeup touch-ups will also be available.
