The Sounds of Brass

The Sounds of Brass will kick off the Fulton Downtown Summer Concert Series at the Gazebo on Friday, June 27 from 6:00-7:00pm. The group is made up of area musicians who take pleasure in playing and sharing their joy of music.

Described as an energetic ensemble of brass and percussion, Sounds of Brass seeks to entertain audiences with its selections of chart-toppers from years gone by. Their repertoire includes marches and patriotic tunes as well as ragtime, swing, Dixieland and familiar favorites.

Sounds of Brass has been in existence for over 3 years. They perform regularly at senior citizen residential complexes, special church functions, and many fundraisers and benefits. They have been invited to play at Memorial Day and Veterans Day services. Sounds of Brass was honored to play at the deployment and flag changing ceremony for the Army Reserves, Company B, 479th Engineering Battalion in Oswego , NY , when the troops were deployed to Iraq .

Members of the Sounds of Brass are: Dave Brown & Natalie Sturr on trumpet, Ed Leach & Ray Bratt on French horn, Dick Harper, Al Mosier & Jim Abel on trombone, Frank Bickel & Paul Sherman on tuba and Jim Myers on drums.

The Gazebo is located along the river on South First Street in Fulton . Bring a lawn chair and get ready for a fun-filled evening!
