OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Harborfest will come alive with the sounds of “Aerosmith,” “Dave Matthews Band” and “Chicago” this summer.
Three highly sought after cover bands will be rocking the NRG Lakeview Stage in Oswego’s Breitbeck Park.
These musicians are anything but ordinary and the sound is true to the legendary artists as “Draw The Line,” “Big Eyed Phish,” and “Brass Transit” will be shaking up the NRG Lakeview stage.
“We have one of the few admission free music festivals in the nation. With the addition of these three outstanding musical groups along with Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals, Gin Blossoms, Fastball and Rembrandts this year’s schedule just keeps get more spectacular,” Harborfest Executive Director Doug Buske said. “We will be announcing the East Park Jazz and Blues Park performers very soon to complete our talented musical roster for this year’s Harborfest.”
“Draw The Line” is the only “Aerosmith” approved cover band in the nation.
Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler has raved about the band and they have been featured on the Official Aerosmith Website.
Neill Byrnes, the lead singer of “Draw The Line,” actually won a Steven Tyler look-a-like contest.
Even the contest doesn’t do the striking similarities justice.
Mia Tallarico, Steven’s daughter, noted how strikingly similar the two were after she attended one of Draw The Line’s shows.
However, the comparisons between the two bands don’t stop at just looks. The highly recognizable “Aerosmith” sounds are replicated with perfection every time “Draw The Line” hits the stage.
You’ll be dying to “Walk This Way” when Draw The Line comes to Oswego; you might even say “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing!”
If you’re a “Dave Matthews Band” fan, “Big Eyed Phish” is as good as it gets and is a must see performance.
The band is the only seven-piece Dave Matthews tribute band in the country.
In the past couple of years, Big Eyed Phish has become one of the college circuit’s most demanded bands.
Hits like “Don’t Drink the Water,” “Ants Marching,” “What Would You Say” and many more will have audience members feeling like they just left a “Dave Matthews Band” concert – right in Breitbeck Park.
It is no small undertaking to play the music of the arguably one of the best jazz rock bands in history, but Canada’s “Brass Transit” dazzles the legendary music of “Chicago.”
Playing the greatest hits from Chicago’s golden age of music, Brass Transit stuns crowds all over, even snatching the attention of “Chicago” themselves.
Neil Donell, the band’s lead singer and Canada’s most recorded voice, is a legend for his four-octave vocal range and impeccable talent of mimicry.
Critics have named “Brass Transit” are just as good as the real deal, playing hits like “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park” and “You’re the Inspiration.”
These can’t-miss acts are sure to give event goers the full experience the sounds of “Aerosmith,” “Dave Matthews Band” and “Chicago” concert right in our own backyards.
Draw The Line plays at 9 p.m. on Saturday and will return to the NRG Lakeview Stage at 10 p.m. after the Grucci fireworks. Big Eyed Phish plays at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, followed by Brass Transit at 6:30 p.m.
