The Oswego girls’ modified lacrosse team won its seventh game of the season defeating Liverpool 12-9.
Once again the second half found the Bucs playing from behind. Liverpool raced to a 7-2 halftime advantage. The Liverpool goaltending was outstanding in the first half.
Oswego did not lead the contest until there was two minutes left in the game. Emily Barlow’s fifth goal of the game tied the score at 9-9. Mackenzie Robinson scored the go ahead goal to put the Bucs up 10-9. With less than two minutes to go Alexa Healy and Libby Sherman added insurance goals.
Barlow finished with five goals while Kaitlyn Armstrong had three and Jade Nelson and Alexa Healy scored one. Libby Sherman and Mackenzie Robinson had a goal and assist while Leslie Usherwood had an assist.
Goalie Tayler Bowman had nine saves.
Oswego closes out the season Tuesday at CNS.
