OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Speedway’s national television coverage from the 61st edition of Budweiser International Classic Weekend will continue tonight (Sept. 21) as the Budweiser International Classic 200 will air on tape delay on MAVTV’s Suzuki Cycles presents Speed Sport at 7 and 10 p.m.
This evening marks the fourth consecutive season that Supermodified racing’s richest and most prestigious event will see national television coverage as part of a four-year partnership between Speed Sport and Oswego, which began in 2014.
“We are happy to continue what has been a fantastic partnership with everyone at Speed Sport and MAVTV through the 2017 season,” said Oswego Speedway Public Relations Director Camden Proud. “The Speed Sport team also played a pivotal role in the NBC Sports broadcast of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Toyota Mod Classic 150. All of us at the speedway look forward to many more seasons of national television coverage for the Supermodifieds.”
Leading the broadcast will be Utica native Ralph Sheehen, a veteran sports broadcaster and the co-owner of the Speed Sport company. Sheheen will be joined by Derek Pernesiglio, who was also part of the NBCSN broadcast of the Toyota Mod Classic 150. Sheehen and Pernesiglio have shared dozens of Oswego, ISMA, and Small Block Supermodified broadcasts for the past several seasons.
Tonight’s airing of the Budweiser International Classic 200, one of the most historic short track events in the world, will be available to most local Spectrum or Time Warner Cable customers and also nationally to DIRECTV and DISH Network carriers.

The Oswego Speedway banquet is set to take place on November 4 at the Lake Ontario Event Conference Center in Oswego. Tickets will be available by stopping into the speedway box office from 9 a.m. – 4.p.m. beginning September 25.
NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week, the next on track event at Oswego Speedway, will be held from October 4 – 8.
Super DIRT Week 46 marks just the second time since 1951 that ‘The Clay Palace’ has been covered in dirt.
