City of Fulton Softball League for Monday, June 30

6:00 F (M-G) Spear surprised Wyant Contracting, 17-11.  The lead went back and forth until Spear rallied for seven runs in the fifth inning.  Ron ‘Oakie’ Stanski smacked a inside-the-park home run, tripled, singled twice, scored three times and amassed five RBIs for Spear, Frank Reis reached base four times, scored three runs and drove in a run as Stew Carpenter rapped a pair of RBI singles and scored twice.  Kurtis Mills tripled twice, doubled, scored twice and delivered four RBIs for Wyant Contracting, Ed Hatten singled, walked, scored twice and drove in three runs while Larry Spencer singled twice, scored twice and knocked a run home.

7:00 F (M-G) Tractor Supply cut down Rosie’s Tavern, 21-1.  Rosie’s Tavern held the first-place team to a pair of runs in the first inning and three runs in the third inning before Tractor Supply opened the flood gates with a sixteen run inning in the fourth inning.  Chris Dempsey belted four hits, scored four runs and drove in three runs for Tractor Supply, Orlo Green rapped three hits, scored twice and amassed five RBIs as Jeff Margrey and Jason Delano each tripled, doubled, singled, scored twice and knocked home three RBIs.  Shawn Demars singled twice to drive in a run for Rosie’s Tavern, Karl LaGrey scored the run as Al Painter and Adam Pawlenko each singled.

6:00 D (M-H) Uniforms, Etc undressed Yablonski’s Softball, 5-1.  Uniform’s, Etc tallied three runs in the second to, surprisingly, take control of the game and added a run in the fourth in response to Yablonski’s Softball’s run earlier in the inning.  Paul Burgess tripled, singled and scored twice for Uniform’s, Etc, Dan Becker singled twice and drove in two RBIs while Mitch Smith doubled, scored once and delivered two RBIs.  Henry Borick singled twice and knocked in the run for Yablonski’s Softball, Steve Yablonski walked and scored as Vern Svereika singled.

7:00 D (M-H) Dead End Boyz manhandled Save-A-Lot II, 14-1. Nine runs in the first inning gave Dead End Boyz as the defense allowed only one run.  Toot Bonnie belted a RBI triple, a RBI double, a RBI single and scored twice for Dead End Boyz, Jason Beardsley doubled twice, scored twice and knocked in two RBIs as Thad Fleming singled three times and scored twice.  Steve Collins singled a run home for Save-A-Lot II, Mark Alton reached base twice as Will Derby scored the run.

8:00 D (M-H) Save-A-Lot batted around J&B Ballers, 15-7.  Save-A-Lot built an eleven run lead before J&B Ballers got on the board in the fifth inning.  Rob Ditton tripled, doubled twice, singled, scored four runs and amassed six RBIs for Save-A-Lot, Wray Ingison smacked three times, walked, scored four runs and knocked in a run as Craig Sterling Jr singled three times and scored twice.  Curt Bonnell lined a inside-the-park home run, singled and drove in three runs for J&B Ballers, Shawn Kimball singled three times, scored once and knocked in a run as Ralph Paro tripled, singled twice and drove home a run.

9:00 D (M-G) Heritage Homes halted Huhtamaki, 18-5.  Heritage Homes’ seven-run lead increased with a six-run rally in the sixth inning.  Joe Houghtaling belted a inside-the-park home run, singled twice, walked, scored three runs and delivered five RBIs for Heritage Homes, Chris Lawton reached base five times, scored three runs and knocked in two runs as Larry Peterson rapped five singles to drive in three RBIs.  Greg Marshall doubled home two runs, singled a run home and scored once for Huhtamaki, Dave Coant doubled, singled, scored once and drove in a run while Henry Calabro doubled in a run and singled.
