City of Fulton Softball League results for Friday, August 8

Games at Foster Park were cancelled.

6:00 D (M-C) Orangemen nearly tripled McLane’, 29-10.  Orangemen rallied for seven runs in the third inning with McLane’s scoring five in the bottom of the inning to pull within three runs.  Orangemen would add a pair of runs in the fourth, six runs in the fifth and eight in the sixth while holding McLane’s to a run in the fifth.  Chuck Tyrell blasted two home runs, three doubles, scored five runs and delivered five RBIs for Orangemen, Dustin Wettering slugged three home runs (one inside-the-park), doubled, scored four runs and drove in six RBIs while Ryan Lescenski drilled a two-run home run, reached base four more times, scored four runs and knocked in three runs.  Greg Francisco doubled, singled twice, walked, scored thrice and drove in a run for McLane’s, Joe Griffin reached base twice, scored twice and knocked in a run as Dan Griffin tripled, singled twice and scored once.

7:00 D (M-I) Issue’s completed a perfect regular season with a 11-5 win over A&M Softball.  Issue’s tallied eight runs within the first three innings while holding A&M Softball to two runs.  A&M Softball scored twice in the sixth only to see Issue’s respond with three in the seventh.  Benoit LaFrance tripled, doubled, singled, scored twice and drove home two runs for Issue’s, Jeff Koegel lined an inside-the-park home run, a double, scored twice and delivered three RBIs as Adam Schremph doubled, singled and scored twice.  Matt Turner socked a two-run home run for A&M Softball, Jeff Miner doubled twice, walked, scored once and drove in a run as Vinny Alfano singled twice and scored once.

8:00 D (M-B) Save-A-Lot shut down We Care Organics, 21-6.  Save-A-Lot rallied for six runs in the first inning while We Care Organics pulled within one in the fourth before Save-A-Lot exploded for fourteen runs in the bottom of the fourth.  Craig Trude launched a grand slam, a two-run home run, a base hit, walked, scored thrice and amassed six RBIs for Save-A-Lot, Fausto  Ramirez belted a three-run home run, a two-run homer, a double and scored thrice as Dave Wallace homered, doubled, singled, walked and scored four times.  Brian Calkins socked a two-run home run and a RBI single for We Care Organics, Mike Krieger lined a RBI double and a RBI single as Tighe Howell singled, walked and scored twice.

9:00 D (M-B) Save-A-Lot stopped Fran’s Riverfront, 20-14.  Despite scoring eight runs in the first two innings, Save-A-Lot only led by two until scoring eight runs in the third inning.  Dave Wallace blasted three home runs, two singles, scored four runs and delivered four RBIs for Save-A-Lot, Shawn Best socked a pair of homers, singled twice, scored four runs and drove in three RBIs while Brian Titus homered, doubled, singled, scored thrice and knocked home four runs.  Joel Vescio lined three home runs (one inside-the-park), a triple, scored four times and drove in four runs for Fran’s Riverfront, Mike Ditton circled the bases for an error assisted inside-the-park home run, doubled, singled a run home and scored thrice as Mark LaBarge stroked four singles, scored once and knocked in a pair of runs.
