City of Fulton Softball League results for Friday, July 25

6:00 F (M-C) McLane’s won a fast-paced, 5-1 game over McLane’s II.  McLane’s scored three runs in the fifth as the teams headed into the sixth inning within half an hour of game time, while McLane’s added two runs in the seventh and McLane’s II scored once in the bottom of the seventh.  Norm Francisco doubled, singled twice, scored a run and delivered two RBIs for McLane’s, Joe Griffin and Dan Griffin each lined two hits and scored a run while Cameron Bliss singled twice and drove in a RBI.  Trevor Ashcraft stroked a pair of singles and scored once for McLane’s II, Keith Wise slugged a RBI triple while Rich Arnold, Dan Hofmann and Ace Meloling each singled.

7:00 F (M-C) McLane’s II rallied and held McLane’s for a 11-9 win.  McLane’s raced out to a 9-3 advantage after three innings before being shut down while McLane’s II rallied for eight runs (four in the sixth) to gain the win.  Bobby Cooper doubled home two runs, singled twice and scored three times for McLane’s II, Dan Hofmann belted a inside-the-park home run, two doubles and delivered five RBIs as Dale Guernsey singled three times and drove in a run.  Derick Osmun blasted a pair of inside-the-park home runs and amassed five RBIs for McLane’s, Kris Przychodzen swatted three doubles, scored twice and drove in a run while Ken Majchrzak rapped three singles and knocked home a run.

6:00 D (M-C) Orangemen clinched first-place with a 10-4 win over Cooper’s/Muskie’s.  The teams tied with a run in the first before Orangemen pulled away with four runs in the third and three more in the fourth.  Chuck Tyrell singled twice, walked, scored three runs and drove in a run for the Orangemen, Dustin Wettering reached base three times, scored once and delivered two RBIs while Brian Sullivan Jr. singled three times, scored a run and knocked home a run.  Earnie Morrison socked a home run, singled twice and scored twice for Cooper’s/Muskie’s, Mike Morrison singled twice and scored twice as Jeremy Redman and Carl Morrison each singled twice and drove a run home.

7:00 D (M-I) A&M Softball held off Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s, 20-14.  A&M Softball scored nine runs in the first inning en route to a 18-7 lead after five.  But a seven-run rally in the sixth by Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s lead to an exciting conclusion.  Vinny Alfano smashed a inside-the-park home run, two singles, a walk, scored two runs and drove home four runs for A&M Softball, Bill Orr swatted a inside-the-park home run, two singles, walked, scored three times and amassed three RBIs as Andy Ward reached base four times, scored twice and knocked home two runs.  John Turner stroked two hits, scored twice and drove in four RBIs for Whoosah Lounge/Chaser’s, Craig Wacker doubled, singled, scored three times and knocked in three RBIs for as Dustin Pulsifer swatted three hits and scored three times.

8:00 D (M-I) Issue’s survived the defense of Barely Legal Accessories in a ten-inning battle.  Barely Legal Accessories scored first with three runs in the third and added one in the fourth while the defense kept undefeated Issue’s off the board until a pair of runs in both the sixth and seventh knotted the score.  It took the extra stanzas before Issue’s scored the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the tenth.  Ben Ryther singled home the game winning run, walked and scored for Issue’s, Jeremy Morrell and Jeremy Koegel each slugged three hits and drove in a run as Josh Koegel singled twice and scored a run.  AJ Macomber reached base three times, scored once and knocked home two runs for Barely Legal Accessories, Jon Croad singled three times and scored once while Matt Hogan singled twice, scored once and drove in a RBI.

9:00 D (M-B) Fran’s Riverfront scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to upend Save-A-Lot, 25-24.  Save-A-Lot broke an eight-all tie with five runs in the fifth while Fran’s Riverfront responded with nine runs in the fifth and five in the sixth before Save-A-Lot rallied for eleven runs in the seventh, leading up to Fran’s Riverfronts dramatic comeback.  Mike Ditton lined a inside-the-park home run, a triple, two singles, scored three runs and amassed five RBIs (including the game winner) for Fran’s Riverfront, Mark LaBarge doubled twice, singled twice, scored twice and delivered five RBIs while Jason Trude belted a home run, a double, walked, scored three times and knocked in four RBIs.  Shawn Best blasted a grand slam, a two-run home run, two singles, walked and scored four runs for Save-A-Lot, Craig Trude launched a pair of two-run home runs, a RBI single, walked and scored three times as Dwayne Walts socked a grand slam, a RBI double and scored twice.
