City of Fulton Softball League results for Monday, July 28

6:00 F (M-G) Tractor Supply took sole possession of first place with one game left in the regular season with an exciting, eight-inning 6-5 win over Save-A-Lot.  Save-A-Lot scored three runs in the first with Tractor Supply tying the game in the second before two runs in the fourth gave Save-A-Lot the lead once more.  A run in the sixth and another in the seventh by Tractor Supply tied the scored and force extra innings.  Ken Sheldon’s RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning scored Chris Dempsey with the winning run.  Mat Burridge blasted a solo home run , a triple, a single and walked for Tractor Supply, Jeff Margrey reached base three times and scored once while Ken Sheldon and Chris Dempsey each singled twice.  Joel Ingison doubled twice, scored twice and drove in a run for Save-A-Lot, Gary Bartlett drove home two RBIs with three hits while Wray Ingison singled twice, walked and scored a run.

7:00 F (M-G) J&B Ballers needed a run in the bottom of the seventh to trim Spear, 9-8.  Spear took a three-run lead before J&B Ballers rallied for seven runs in the third.  Four runs in the fifth by Spear tied the score until J&B Ballers scored the game winner (Cory Larrabee) on a hit by Mike Niver in the seventh.  John Allen drilled a RBI double, a two-run single and scored once for J&B Ballers, Mike Niver singled twice, walked, scored twice and drove in the winning run while Cory Larrabee singled twice, walked and scored twice.  Dave Craig belted a RBI triple, a RBI double, singled twice and scored a run for Spear, Scott Briglin doubled, singled, scored once and drove in two RBIs while Shawn Hicks singled three times and scored once.

6:00 D (M-H) Dead End Boyz disrupted Huhtamaki, 15-7.  Dead End Boyz scored twelve runs by the fourth inning when Huhtamaki scored their first two runs.  Jose Rios reached base four times, scored once and delivered six RBIs for Dead End Boyz, Jason Beardsley tripled, doubled a run home, walked twice and scored four times while Denny Young rapped three singles and drove home two RBIs.  Greg Marshall belted a RBI triple, a RBI singles and scored twice for Huhtamaki, Billy Hutchins singled, scored twice and drove in a run as Matt Tarbell singled twice and knocked in a run.

7:00 D (M-H) Yablonski’s Softball shut down Save-A-Lot II, 6-1.  Yablonski’s Softball tallied a pair of runs in the first and third innings before adding single runs in the fifth and sixth while holding Save-A-Lot II to a run in the sixth.  Travis Kimball drilled three singles and drove home two RBIs for Yablonski’s Softball, Vern Svereika reached base four times and knocked in a run as Henry Borick doubled a run home, singled and scored.  Don Laribee smashed a inside-the-park home run for Save-A-Lot II, Luke Alton doubled and singled as Aaron Fritton doubled.

8:00 D (M-H) Uniforms, Etc encompassed Heritage Homes, 16-13.  Heritage Homes tallied six runs in the first and three runs in the third before Uniforms, Etc erupted for eleven runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead for good.  Matt Lenway belted a two-run triple, a double, a RBI single and scored twice for Uniforms, Etc, Tony Zaia singled twice, scored twice and delivered three RBIs as Paul Burgess tripled home two RBIs, singled and scored twice.  Joe Houghtaling reached base four times, scored three runs and collected three RBIs for Heritage Homes, Mike Grenell swatted three doubles to knock home six RBIs and score twice while Teddy Hoffman doubled, singled twice, scored three runs and drove in a run.

9:00 D (M-G) It took eight innings for Wyant Contracting to overtake Rosie’s Tavern, 16-15.  Rosie’s Tavern fell behind by one in the first inning before scored twice in the second and five times in the third to take the lead.  In the fifth, Wyant Contracting rallied for ten runs to take on one-run advantage with Rosie’s Tavern scoring twice in the sixth to retake the lead.  Wyant Contracting scored a run in the seventh to even the score.  In the bottom of the eighth, Pat Corbin lead off with a double and advance to third on a base hit by Mike Elmore before a sacrifice fly by Larry Spencer allowed Corbin to score the winning run.  Dennis Green crushed a inside-the-park home run, a triple, a singled, scored thrice and knocked in three RBIs for Wyant Contracting, Kurtis Mills swatted four hits, scored twice and drove home three runs while Jessie Jones tripled, doubled, singled, scored twice and delivered four RBIs.  Adam Pawlenko tripled home three runs, lined a pair of RBI singles and scored once for Rosie’s Tavern, Chris Demars belted a two-run double, singled twice and scored thrice as John Haresign singled twice, walked and drove home three RBIs.
