6:00 F (W-D) A&M Softball @ 4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poormans cancelled due to wet field.
7:00 F (W-D) Lakeview Lanes & Us held off Shepard Enterprises, 10-9 to complete a perfect season. Eight runs within the first two innings gave Lakeview Lanes & Us the lead with each team scoring two runs until Shepard Enterprises rallied for five runs in the sixth innings. Two runs in the seventh inning pulled Shepard Enterprises within a run before the final out was made with a runner on second. Michelle Smith belted a grand slam, walked and scored twice for Lakeview Lanes & Us, Jess Humphrey singled twice, walked, scored twice and drove in a run as Amanda Stevens smacked a two-run double, singled twice and scored a run. Jen Middleton swatted two home runs, singled, scored three times, delivered four RBIs and defensively made some nice plays at shortstop for Shepard Enterprise, Jen Stock rapped a pair of RBI doubles and scored once as Jen McCord singled twice and drove home a run.
6:00 D (M-D) AIDS Community Resources fended off Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators, 9-6 to advance to next week’s play-offs. AIDS Community Resources scored twice in the first inning with Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators tying the game in the third. Two runs in the fourth allowed AIDS Community Resources to re-establish the lead before Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators rallied for four runs in the fifth. In the bottom of the fifth, AIDS Community Resources tallied three runs to retake the lead and added two more insurance runs in the sixth. Shayne Bogardus belted a home run, a double, a single and delivered four RBIs for AIDS Community Resources, Mike Galvin socked a RBI triple, a RBI single and scored twice while Bob Galini singled twice, scored once and drove in a run. Pete Galletta doubled a run home, singled, walked and scored once for Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gator, Jeff Lanning tripled, singled and scored twice as Bruce Shafer singled, scored once and drove in two RBIs.
7:00 D (M-D) Gorman’s ended R-BAR’s season, 17-5. While R-BAR scored all five runs within the first three innings, Gorman’s tallied between two and five runs in each inning (each the fourth-no runs). Aaron Knapp homered, doubled, walked, scored thrice and delivered four RBIs for Gorman’s, Dave Viscome tripled, singled twice, walked, scored thrice and drove in a run as Louis French and Scott Conger each singled twice, scored twice and knocked in a pair of RBIs. Frank Metcalf homered, tripled and drove in two runs for R-BAR, Chad Humphrey singled twice, walked and scored once as Travis Humphrey and Jim Stanski each doubled home a run.
8:00 D (M-D) Pittsburg Paints/Purcell’s Paints coated Butler Fence, 13-12 in eight innings. Butler Fence scored seven runs through four innings while holding Pittsburg Paints/Purcell’s Paints to a pair of runs and added five runs in the sixth while Pittsburg Paints/Purcell’s Paints tallied six runs between the fifth and sixth innings. Four runs in the seventh tied the game for Pittsburg Paints/Purcell’s Paints before Josh LeVea singled with two outs in the eighth inning, and scored on Devin LeClair’s triple for the win. Devin LeClair tripled, doubled twice, scored once and delivered five RBIs for Pittsburg Paints/Purcell’s Paints, Nick Hargraves tripled, singled three times, scored once and drove in a pair of RBIs while Josh LeVea reached base four times and scored four runs. Toby McCleery rapped three doubles, scored twice and knocked home two runs for Butler Fence, Ed Roy smacked three RBI hits and scored a run as Bryan Elsworth doubled, singled twice, walked, scored once and drove in a run.
9:00 D (M-D) Lehigh Cement @ McDonald’s called due to lightning. Rescheduled for 6:30 Foster next Thursday with winner to play @ 8:00 Denesha.
