City of Fulton Softball League results for Thursday, July 31

6:00 F (M-D) Butler Fence broke open a close game for a 17-8 win over R-BAR.  The teams battled back and forth with R-BAR sporting a one-run lead after five innings until Butler Fence erupted for ten runs in the sixth for the lop-sided score.  Toby McCleery crushed an inside-the-park home run, three doubles, a single and scored four runs to pace Butler Fence, Steve Baker tripled, doubled, singled, scored thrice and delivered three RBIs while Ray Grabowski reached base four times, scored once and drove in a pair of runs.  Frank Metcalf belted a two-run, inside-the-park home run and a RBI singled for R-BAR, Gary Scerbo singled twice, scored twice and drove in a run as Chad Humphrey doubled, singled twice and drove in a run.

7:00 F (M-D) Gorman’s dismantled Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators, 23-2.  Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators took a two-run lead after one inning before Gorman’s tallied 23 runs over the next three innings.  Craig Distin slugged two inside-the-park home runs, a triple, scored three times and amassed five RBIs for Gorman’s, Mike Vant lined four singles, scored four runs and knocked home three RBIs while Scott Conger doubled twice, singled twice, scored twice and drove home a pair of RBIs.  Jeff Lanning stroked a RBI singled and scored for Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators, Pete Galletta tripled and singled as Frank Allen tripled and scored.

5:00 D (Co-ed) Cral Contracting held off McLane’s Co-ed, 11-9.  Cral Contracting opened the game with six runs in the first inning while McLane’s Co-ed fought back to cut the lead to two in the third.  Cral Contracting added three runs in the fourth to pad the advantage with McLane’s Co-ed coming back with three runs in the seventh, runners on first and second when the third out was made.  Jen Boots scored twice and delivered four RBIs for Cral Contracting, Doug Stevens belted a RBI triple, a singe, walked and scored twice as Geoff MacEwen singled twice, scored once and drove home a pair of RBIs.  Rick Hofmann stroked three singles to drive in four RBIs for McLane’s Co-ed, Kris Przychodzen reached base four times, scored three runs and knocked in a run while Marty Schneider singled twice, walked and scored a run.

6:00 D (W-D) Shepard Enterprise stunned A&M Softball, 11-1.  Shepard Enterprise tallied three runs in the second inning with A&M Softball cutting into the lead with a run in the fifth before eight runs over the final two innings by Shepard Enterprise to distance A&M Softball.  Jen Middleton tripled, singled twice, scored once and drove in two RBIs for Shepard Enterprise, Jolene Clark smacked a home run and a two-run single as April McCord doubled, singled, scored twice and knocked in a RBI.  Danica Malone rapped three singles and drove in the run for A&M Softball, Billie Jo Steere reached base three times while Teresa Garrison singled and scored the run.

7:00 D (W-D) Lakeview Lanes & Us survived another scare, 18-17 over 4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poormans to remain undefeated.  4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poormans scored nine runs in the first inning, however, the teams tied at ten after two innings.  Lakeview Lanes & Us then went on to score eight runs over the next three innings.  4 Season’s Constracting/FTS/Poormans rallied to score seven runs in the final three innings and loaded the bases with one out before two fly-outs ended the upset bid.  Charlie Terramiggi tripled, singled twice, scored once and delivered seven RBIs for Lakeview Lanes & Us, Jessica Humphrey reached base three times, scored four runs and drove in two runs while Michelle Smith swatted a double, three singles, scored thrice and knocked in a pair of RBIs.  Lori Maher reached base four times, scored three runs and amassed four RBIs for 4 Seasons Contracting/FTS/Poormans, Roberta Weldin tripled, singled three times, scored twice and knocked home two runs as Tammy Vezzoze reached base four times, scored thrice and drove in a RBI.

8:00 D (M-D) Pittsburgh Paints/Purcell’s Paints coated Lehigh Cement, 12-7.  Each team tallied five runs in the first inning before Pittsburgh Paint/Purcell’s Paints scored a run in the second and three runs in both the third and fifth while holding Lehigh Cement to a run in the third and again in the sixth.  Jesse Campbell lined three singles, scored once and delivered four RBIs for Pittsburgh Paints/Purcell’s Paints, Devin LeClair smacked three doubles, scored twice and drove home a run while Aaron Campbell tripled home a run, doubled and scored three runs.  Josh Scheirer tripled, doubled home two runs, singled and scored twice for Lehigh Cement, Sean Canales singled, scored once and delivered four RBIs as Dave Wheeler singled, walked and scored twice.

9:00 D (M-D) AIDS Community Resources stunned McDonald’s, 19-5.  AIDS Community Resources held a 3-1 lead after four innings before tallying five runs in both the fifth and sixth innings while adding six in the seventh as the defense held McDonald’s to a pair of runs in the fifth and seventh innings.  Mike Galvin socked a home run, a double, two singles, scored four runs and drove in three runs for AIDS Community Resources, Mike Kitts drilled a two-run home run, a two-run triple, a RBI single, walked and scored twice as Shayne Bogardus lined a RBI double, three singles and scored four runs.  Brad Webster tripled, singled twice, scored twice and drove home two RBIs for McDonald’s, Will Foley reached base three times and delivered a RBI as Mick Mulcahy singled twice and knocked home a pair of RBIs.
