City of Fulton Softball results for Thursday, July 17

6:00 F (M-D) Lehigh Cement erupted for six runs in the seventh to down Butler Fence, 12-8.  Over the course of three innings, Butler Fence amassed a five-run lead with a four-run fourth pulling Lehigh Cement within a run as two runs in the  fifth gave them the lead.  Butler Fence recaptured the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fifth before Lehigh Cement doubled their score in the seventh to cement the victory.  Dave Wheeler slugged a three-run inside-the-park home run, singled twice and scored twice for Lehigh Cement, Tony Hildreth tripled, singled twice, scored twice and drove in a run as Justin Farr bashed a inside-the-park home run and singled twice.  Jim Rogers doubled a run home, singled twice, walked and scored three runs for Butler Fence, Ed Roy singled three times, scored once and drove in three RBIs while Frank Muckey reached base three times, scored once and knocked in a run.

7:00 F (M-D) McDonald’s served up a 17-5 score to Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators.  McDonald’s tallied eleven runs in the first inning with Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators rallying for five runs in the third before McDonald’s scored the game’s final six runs.  Mick Mulcahy drilled a three-run home run, singled twice and scored three times for McDonald’s, Nick D’Imperio blasted a two-run home run, a two-run triple, walked and scored twice as Sean Bracy doubled, singled twice, scored twice and delivered two RBIs.  Jeff Lanning stroked three singles, scored once and drove in two RBIs for Roofs by Frank/Lakeview Lanes/Crazy Gators, Frank Allen lined three base hits, scored once and knocked in a run as Carl Clothier singled twice and walked once.

6:00 D (M-D) Pittsburgh Paint/Purcell’s Paints coated R-BAR, 22-8.  Pittsburgh Paint/Purcell’s Paints scored eleven runs in the first and eight in the second before R-BAR rallied for six in the third and two in the fourth while Pittsburgh Paint/Purcell’s Paints ended the scoring with three runs in the fourth.  Mike Smith reached base three times to scored twice and drove in seven RBIs for Pittsburgh Paint/Purcell’s Paints, Josh Levea belted a inside-the-park home run, two singles, scored four runs and knocked in three RBIs as Devin LeClair smacked a triple, a RBI double, a two-run singled and scored twice.  Doug Fischell reached base three times, scored once and delivered four RBIs for R-BAR as Chad Humphrey and Travis Humphrey each lined two hits, scored twice and drove in a run.

7:00 D (M-D) AIDS Community Resources flattened Gorman’s, 14-1.  In an anticipated battle between teams tied for first place, AIDS Community Resources scored three runs in the first inning before tallying eleven runs within the third and fourth innings while holding Gorman’s to a single run in their final at bat.  Shayne Bogardus drilled a two-run home run, two doubles and scored three runs for AIDS Community Resources, Josh Viscome reached base three times, scored twice and drove home two RBIs as Bill Peterson singled twice, scored twice and knocked in a run.  Scott Conger singled twice and drove in a run for Gorman’s as Craig Distin singled and scored.

8:00 D (W-D) 4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poormans nipped A&M Softball, 14-13.  The teams each scored seven runs after two innings before 4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poormans tallied eight runs over the next three inning with A&M Softball scored four runs in the sixth and two in the seventh before being stopped with the tying run on third and go-ahead run on second.  Roberta Weldin doubled, singled three times, scored three runs and drove in three RBIs for 4 Season’s Contracting/FTS/Poormans, Krista LoCastro doubled twice, singled twice, scored twice and knocked home three runs while Lori Maher reached base four times, scored three runs and drove in a run.  Rachel Hutchinson drilled a grand slam, scored three runs and amassed five RBIs for A&M Softball, Billie Jo Steere reached base three times, scored once and got a run home while Sara Williams reached base three times, scored twice and forced home a run.

9:00 D (W-D) Lakeview Lanes & Us spared Shepard Enterprises, 18-4.  Shepard Enterprises scored three runs in the first and held the lead until two runs in the third gave Lakeview Lanes & Us a one-run advantage.  A seven-run rally in the fourth helped Lakeview Lanes & Us begin to pull away for the lopsided win.  Michelle Smith socked a pair of two-run triples, a double, a single and scored twice for Lakeview Lanes & US, Tina Thibodeau smacked a two-run home run, a double, a RBI singled and scored twice while Jessica Humphrey and Ashley Galloway each lined two hits, scored three runs and drove in a run.  Jolene Clark singled twice, scored once and drove in a run for Shepard Enterprises, Jen Middleton singled twice and scored once as Jess Levea singled and drove in two RBIs.
