The City of Fulton Softball League has begun accepting team registration forms/fees for the 2008 Fall Softball Season. The season is scheduled to begin on August 24 and run through October 19 with seven weeks of ‘regular’ season play followed by a week of play-offs. All games will be double headers with the play-offs/Championship games being played on the same night of the week the team plays during the Fall Season. Players will need to fill out new ‘yellow’ player cards for the new season.
Currently, planned divisions are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday – Men   Sunday and Thursday – Coed
Only four teams can be accepted during weeknights, so teams will be accepted on a ‘first paid, first served’ basis. Weekend divisions will depend on the number of teams. In the past, two divisions of coed have played on Sundays with a highly competitive division playing from 6 to 10 while a more recreational, less ‘serious’ division played earlier (noon to 5).
This fall, we will use ‘mat ball’. One player may use a runner (must be designated before the game) while most rules are the same as in the summer. For a team registration form, either stop at the Denesha Field or Foster Park score booth or call Marty at 592-7296 (until 4 pm, then at the score booths).
