Fulton Speedway Hosts DIRT Big Blocks Saturday

This coming Saturday night June 7th is one race fans and race teams circle on their calendar at the Fulton Speedway as the Advance Auto Parts DIRTcar Big Block Modified Super DIRT Series comes to town for the 11th annual “Show Down at Sundown” 100-lap event. Bradco Supply and Ferries Mowers will be sponsoring the nights events.

Past track champion Dale Planck from Cortland NY will come into this race with the hot hand on the series. Planck to date has two wins on the tour and trails series point leader Brett Hearn by 3-points.

“Since the inception of this new team and this Teo Pro Car, it has turned my whole career around,” said Planck about his Grow It Hydro Seeding, No.77x team.

Don’t look for the outsiders to just come into Fulton Speedway and take all the money. Speedway regulars Jimmy Phelps in the H&H Racing, New England Race Fuels, Troyer No.98h and Danny Johnson behind the Wheel of the JIR Motorsports No.27j are in the top five in series points. Throw in track points leader Tommy Sears Jr along with Ryan Phelps, Jim Witko, Steve Hulsizer and the always tough Alan Johnson, Fulton drivers will be tough to beat.

Series point leader Brett Hearn will be looking to put a victory in the win column. Hearn the driver of the Wentworth Construction, No.20 Teo Pro Car will be looking to grab his first ever Fulton win. Hearn has hundreds of victories, track and series championships all over the Northeast and Canada, but Fulton victory lane has always eluded him.

Billy Decker and Matt Sheppard have found victory lane many times at Fulton and will be a threat to win when they unload Saturday night. With no race on the World of Outlaws Late Model schedule look for Tim Fuller to possibly make a stop in the John Lazore Motorsports No. 19, Teo Pro Car.

The talent coming into the series event could make the winner in doubt till the final lap.

DIRTCar Crate Sportsman Modifieds, UMP Street Stocks and the E&V Energy Rookie Crate Modifieds will also be on the card to make a full night of exciting racing.
