The Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super division debuted at Oswego in 1992 and has served as the Novelis Supermodified support division ever since, graduating several top drivers to the heralded Supermodified platform.

Listed among those graduates are the Speedway’s most recent Supermodified champions in Otto Sitterly and Bob Bond as well as well as title contenders Dave Danzer, Michael Barnes, Dave Gruel, and more.

With 400+ horsepower, 10-inch Hoosier Racing Tires, along with lightweight and agile handling capabilities, the Pathfinder Bank SBS are now reaching speeds in excess of 120 mph on the average, making them one of the fastest and most exciting open-wheel racing divisions in the country – built solely for Oswego Speedway.

The Bud Light SBS Classic is a 75-lap main event, the smaller brother of the famed Budweiser International Classic 200 for Novelis Supermodifieds, pitting Oswego’s best SBS racers against one another for the right to be called a Classic champion.

The SBS Classic broadcast will feature the two greatest drivers in the history of the division in Mike Bond and Russ Brown, who each spent time in the Supermodified division, as well as championship combatants Andrew Schartner, Dalton Doyle, Anthony Losurdo, Jack Patrick, Dave Cliff, and Kreig Heroth.

The broadcast will be led in the analyst’s booth by motorsports broadcasting veterans Ralph Sheheen and Derek Pernesiglio.

Oswego Speedway’s weekly infield announcer Keith Zehr will handle all post-race interviews.

The Pathfinder Bank Small Block Supers will see more airtime in 2016 as a part of the Speedway’s overall schedule with Suzuki presents Speed Sport on MAVTV.

“The Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super division has been a staple of the Speedway for nearly 25 years, and has created a tremendous feeder system for our prized Supermodified division,” said Oswego Speedway PR Director, Dan Kapuscinski.  “This division would be a headliner at any other facility and we are proud to have these teams, cars, and drivers as a part of our weekly schedule at the ‘Steel Palace.’  We were elated to see that Speed Sport has taken notice of this division, and looks to include these cars and drivers into their broadcast lineup for 2016.”

MAVTV features all things in American Real Motorsports including ASCS Sprint Car Racing, ATV Pro MX, and The Dave Despain Show.
