Industrial Tire Of CNY Returns As Title Sponsor Of Sportsman Shootout At Fulton Speedway

FULTON, NY – Industrial Tire Of CNY will once again be the title sponsor of the lucrative, driver and fan favorite Sportsman Shootout Championship during the 31stAnnual Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility Outlaw 200 Weekend presented by SUNY Canton.

Known as one of the most prestigious races to win for the Sportsman in the Northeast one had to look no further than 2015 when 82 competitors came through the pit gate. It would take eight heat races, four consolations and a pair of last chance races to set the 32 car starting field for the Industrial Tire Of CNY Sportsman Shootout 50.

In the 50-lap battle Rocky Warner would out-duel Matt Janczuk and the rest of the 32-car starting field, picking up the popular win.

How hard is the race to win more than once? In the long history of the Sportsman event during the Outlaw 200 Weekend, only Rocky Warner and Matt Janczuk have been able to win the race more than once with two wins each.

Valuable guaranteed starting spots will be up for grabs during the season. Fulton Speedway Friday, April 29 ‘Highbank Holdup Weekend’ as part of round one of the DIRTcar Championship Series. Brewerton Speedway July 29 during Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints Speed Week. Brewerton Speedway September 16 ‘Duel At The Demon’ DIRTcar Championship Series.

The Fulton Speedway will be open this Saturday, April 23, for a Test & Tune that is open to any car that runs on dirt. After that the long offseason comes to an end with the highly anticipated ‘Highbank Holdup’ weekend April 29-30. Below is the exciting weekend schedule.

On April 29 the winged warriors of the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints and the DIRTcar Sportsman Series will fill the pits. A large star studded field is expected in both divisions to challenge the ‘Highbanks.’ The Modified Super DIRTcar Series and Billy Whittaker Cars and Trux Rush Late Models will have practice sessions to get dialed in for their Saturday show.

April 30 the Fulton Speedway Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modified pilots will be ready to defend their home-turf against all comers when the Modified Super DIRTcar Series comes to town to do battle in the ‘Highbank Holdup 100.’ Also on the race card will be the season opener for the exciting SUNY Canton Sportsman and Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Models.
