ERIE, PA – A total of 277 students received scholar-athlete status from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) this month after receiving at least a 3.25 grade point average for their collegiate career.
Among the student-athletes were:
Brett Williams of Fulton
Allison Yule of Oswego
Mercyhurst produced a conference-high 277 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes in the 2013-14 school year.
The Lakers had 142 males and 135 females on the list this year.
Mercyhurst paced the league with 142 males on the squad, easily beating out second-place finishers Gannon and Seton Hill (83 each).
The 135 females were second-most in the PSAC, as West Chester led with 159 in 2013-14. Forty-five percent of Laker student-athletes were on the list, good for second-most in the conference.
Thirty-six percent of all PSAC student-athletes landed on this year’s squad.
