Led by the strong one-two-three finish of sophomores Mackenzie Robinson and Taylor Giglio, and senior Brittany Ross, the Oswego girls cross country team, opened the 2009 season Wednesday, with a 23-34 win over the host Lady Cougars of Corcoran.
Robinson ran an outstanding time of 22:29 over the very hilly and challenging Corcoran course to place first, followed by Giglio (23:32), and Ross (23:37). Other points for the Lady Bucs were earned by senior Bridgette Auyer and sophomore Mikayla Place, competing in her first varsity race.
