Oswego State Women’s Tennis Starts Season With 9-0 Loss At New Paltz

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Oswego State women’s tennis team opened the season against the defending SUNYAC Champion New Paltz Hawks on Saturday, and came up short in a 9-0 decision.  The Lakers’ best result came at No. 2 and No. 4 singles as Hannah Rawlings[1] andWini Decker[2] won two service games in their respective matches.  It was the first match of the year for both squads.

1. Montana Wilson (NP) def. Nicole Leader[3] (OSW) – 6-1, 6-0
2. Kayla DiPaulo (NP) def. Hannah Rawlings[1] (OSW) – 6-2, 6-0
3. Alli Esposito (NP) def. Christine Ripple[4] (OSW) – 6-0, 6-0
4. Juliette Brandon (NP) def. Emma Baker[5] (OSW) – 6-0, 6-0
5. Ingrid Maryansky (NP) def. Lauren Stall[6] (OSW) – 6-0, 6-0
6. Jessica Schmidt (NP) def. Wini Decker[2] (OSW) – 6-1, 6-1

Doubles
1. Wilson/Esposito (NP) def. Leader/Rachel Rigney[7] (OSW) – 8-2
2. DiPaulo/Devin Tracy (NP) def. Kelly Corwin[8]/Olivia Knierman[9] (OSW) – 8-0
3. Brandon/Schmidt (NP) def. Stall/Rawlings (OSW) – 8-1
