Report: Fulton’s Schremp to Play in Sweden

Fulton native Robbie Schremp will play his pro hockey in Sweden this season.
Reports say[1] he has signed with the club MODO of the Swedish Elite League.
Many NHL players have emerged from that league.
Schremp[2] was released this year by the New York Islanders after nearly two seasons. He was drafted in the first round by, and eventually played for, the Edmonton Oilers before that.
Schremp was claimed by the Winnipeg Jets, but the team did not make a qualifying offer to him.
He was a minor-league sensation, famous for his trick shots[3] in shootout situations.
Schremp scored 20 goals in 114 NHL games, but had a -24 goal differential. It means that when he was on the ice, the other team scored 24 more even-strength or shorthanded goals than his team did.
His -20 goal differential in the 2010-11 season placed him 875th out of 891[4] players, according to the National Hockey League’s statistics.
