Short-Handed Oswego State Women’s Tennis Falls To Oneonta, 9-0

ONEONTA, N.Y. – With a depleted roster due to injury, the Oswego State women’s tennis team lost to host Oneonta, 9-0, Saturday afternoon. The Lakers were forced to forfeit points at No. 3 doubles and No. 5 and No. 6 singles due to injuries in their first dual match of the Spring season. Oswego State fell to 2-11 on the season, while the Red Dragons improved to 6-4. The Lakers will face Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester next Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

1. Danielle Browarski (ONE) def. Nicole Leader (OSW) 6-1, 6-1
2. Emily Shannon (ONE) def. Rachel Rigney (OSW) 6-0, 6-0
3. Liz Flamman (ONE) def. Kelly Corwin (OSW) 6-2, 6-2
4. Emily Maggiore (ONE) def. Aislinn Leary (OSW) 6-0, 6-1
5. Oneonta won by medical forfeit
6. Oneonta won by medical forfeit

Doubles
1. Carly Smith/Carly Fried (ONE) def. Nicole Leader/Rachel Rigney (OSW) 8-3
2. Lauren Skolnick/Ashley Sears (ONE) def. Kelly Corwin/Aislinn Leary (OSW) 8-2
3. Oneonta won by medical forfeit
