PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Oswego State women’s basketball team dropped a 69-53 contest at Plattsburgh on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Lakers fall to 4-19 overall and 2-14 in SUNYAC action.
The Cardinals improve to 12-10 on the season and 6-9 in conference play.
Oswego was paced by a pair of double-figure outings, starting with Mary Mazzella.
The junior rallied for 15 points after being unable to record a point in the game’s first 10 minutes.
She was incredibly efficient from the floor, shooting 75.0% (6-for-8) in the tilt.
Aiding in the effort was senior Tayler Sorell, racking up 13 points, nine of which came from 3-point land.
Forward Zana Dillard scored five of the Lakers’ six first quarter points, on her way to tallying eight. She also tied for a team high in rebounds with six, even with teammate Alex Cecere.
The Lakers will host its final regular season home game at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday when the Knights of Geneseo come to Max Ziel Gymnasium.
