St. Francis Commons to Host Alzheimer’s Association Workshop

OSWEGO – St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence in Oswego will host the second of a four-part series presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter entitled, “Dementia Conversations.”

St. Francis Commons is located at 12 Burkle St., on the St. Luke healthcare campus.

This educational workshop is free of charge and open to the public.

The workshop will offer tips on how to have honest and caring conversations with family members about issues ranging from going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, making legal and financial plans, and ways the Alzheimer’s Association and other community resources can help.

Upcoming programs in the series provided by the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York and hosted at St. Francis Commons in Oswego include; “Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior” on July 19 and “Legal and Financial Planning” on August 16.
