OSWEGO, NY – Parishioners of St. Mary’s Church in Oswego recently presented Catholic Charities of Oswego County with a large donation of toys that will be distributed to less fortunate children in the community.
Supervisor of Catholic Charities’ Emergency Services program, Helen Hoefer, was happy to receive the donation and thankful that St. Mary’s thought of them.
“With the requests we are receiving this holiday season we are very grateful to the parishioners of St. Mary’s for their very generous donations. They donated a wonderful assortment gifts that will go a long way in helping us meet those requests. These donations will help put smiles on the faces of many children as they enjoy the opportunity to unwrap a present on Christmas morning,” said Hoefer.
Catholic Charities of Oswego County serves all people in need regardless of their religious affiliation.
Primary funding sources for Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s programs are the United Way of Greater Oswego County, the Diocesan Hope Appeal, the County of Oswego and private donations by individuals and local companies and organizations.
