THIS is probably the saddest year for the church bazaars …bittersweet because most of them will probably no longer be part of the summer entertainment season. For those of us who love our city, even though attendance has gone down each year, some of the bazaars remain a popular venue. St. Mary’s is one of these. From great chicken bbq, and white elephant and cake booths, raffles for big and small ticket items…well, many, many residents of varied religious followings have memories from their childhood, young adulthood, the parenting years, and maybe especially the senior years at St. Mary’s Bazaar. I think we need to really come out and support our Catholic community this summer. THIS summer MAY be the last chance we have to make memories !
