Stanley D. Swiech, 83

Stanley D. Swiech, 83; of Fulton died Sunday at Oswego Hospital, Oswego.

He was born in Oswego to the late Michael and Antonia Swiech. Mr. Swiech remained a lifelong resident of Fulton and Oswego. He was a United States Veteran having served in the Army during WWII in the 350th Infantry. Mr. Swiech retired from Armstrong Co., Fulton after 30 years of employment.

He was pre-deceased by his siblings: Nick Swiech in 1941, Frank Swiech in 1975, Walter Swiech in 1963, John Swiech in 2005, Mary Mihalek in 1996, Josephine Krul in 1993, Sophie Wood in 1998 and Katherine Stoutenger in 2006.

He is survived by his sister Frances Jasak of Oswego, several nieces and nephews and longtime caregiver Diane Arena of Liverpool, NY.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Minetto where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Larkin. Burial will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be held 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.

  1. Ted, Sandy and Willi, we are so sorry for the passing of your uncle (brother-in-law) Please accept our deepest sympathy. He is not gone, just in another world, healthy and happy. You will see him again.
