The program’s goal is to ensure that children less fortunate are ready to begin the school this fall with the supplies they need to succeed.

In addition to donating supplies to the campaign, the Staples store on Route 104 East in Oswego is serving as an official collection site for the ‘Stuff-A-Bus’ campaign.

Staples shoppers can place donations in the collection box over the next few weeks or bring them directly to the bus that will be on site from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 14.

Staples is also participating in the Success By 6 ‘Paper Buses’ campaign, which allows shoppers to donate to the ‘Stuff-A-Bus’ campaign by purchasing a paper bus.

All proceeds from the sale of ‘Paper Buses’ will be used to purchase school supplies for the ‘Stuff-A-Bus’ campaign.

“Because of the economy and the effect it’s had on families in the past year, I’m anticipating a bigger need they ever this year. I encourage all who can to help support our ‘Stuff-A-Bus’ campaign,” said Success By 6 director Bonnie Holmes. “We have placed collection boxes at a number of stores throughout Oswego County and paper buses can be purchased at various locations, including all Key Bank  and all Pathfinder Bank branches in Oswego County.”

For this year’s campaign, Success By 6 looks to fill 10 buses with school supplies for students in need throughout Oswego County.

School supplies will be collected at various locations now through Aug. 14 when the campaign culminates in a final collection day, as Success By 6 will have buses at 10 convenient locations that day from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

Wal-Mart on Route 49 in Central Square, on Route 104 in Oswego, on Route 3 in Granby and on Route 31 in Liverpool; Kinney Drugs on Main Street in Mexico and on Route 13 in Pulaski; Staples on Route 104 in Oswego; Hannibal Village Market IGA, Route 3 in Hannibal; and Price Chopper on Route 104 in Oswego and on West First Street in Fulton.
