State Police Arrests & Accidents: July 13, 2009


Matthew C. Hall, 40, of Williamstown was charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child for an incident first reported at 1:30 p.m. July 10 in Williamstown.  He was released on his own recognizance.

One injury was reported in the collision of two ATVs at 6:44 p.m. July 13 in the town of Mexico.  The operators of the ATVs were Destiny J. Dorling, 7, of Mexico and Aidan J. Reardon, 4, of Mexico.

Jeanette Wilson, 41, of Rochester was the driver involved in a one vehicle accident at 9:13 pm July 13 along Route 81 in Sandy Creek.  No injuries were reported.  The investigation was closed.

Ronald L. Wardhaugh, 18, of Hannibal was charged with a misdemeanor count of arson for an incident first reported July 5 in the town of Hannibal.  He was issued an appearance ticket.

Mark Sobierajski, 22, of Cato was charged with a violation count of marijuana possession July 9 at 6:47 p.m. along County Route 8 in Granby.  He was released on an appearance ticket.

Wendy A. Richards, 42, of Phoenix was charged with a misdemeanor count of misapplication of property for an incident first reported July 9 in the town of Granby.  She was released on an appearance ticket.

Jonathan E. Cronk, 19, of Richland and Victoria A. Bentley, 40, of Mexico were the drivers involved in a two vehicle accident at 1:43 p.m. July 13 on county route 29 in Scriba. Three injuries were reported.  The investigation remains open.

Chad E. Grinnell, 26, of Mexico was charged with first offense DWI and first offense driving with a blood alcohol content above 0.08%.  He was arrested along Route 3 in Palermo at 9:37 p.m. July 13.  He was released on an appearance ticket.

Steven G. Cooper, 58, of Hannibal was charged with first offense DWI and first offense driving with a blood alcohol content above 0.08% as well as making an unsafe lane change at 10:03 p.m. on July 13 along Route 3 in the town of Hannibal.  He was released to a third party.
