State Police Investigate Animal Complaint in Sandy Creek

Pulaski, NY – On June 22, 2012, State Police in Pulaski responded to a residence at 100 Paye Road in the Town of Sandy Creek to check on the welfare of several horses in a pasture that appeared to be malnourished.

The horses were evaluated by the Oswego County Humane Society and a veterinarian from North Country Veterinary and found to be underweight.

However, there were no signs of neglect.

The homeowner, in conjunction with county officials, will work to ensure the horses are properly fed and nourished to attain the appropriate weight, according to the State Police.

The Oswego County Humane Society, the North Country Veterinary and the New York State Police will continue to evaluate and monitor the situation as the investigation continues.
