State Police Investigate Crash in Town of Scriba

SCRIBA, NY – State Police in Pulaski are investigating a two-car accident that occurred at approximately 12:55 p.m. today (Jan. 20) at the intersection of Middle Road and County Route 29 in the town of Scriba.

The investigation revealed a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria (NYSP patrol car), operated by Trooper Eric Parsons was traveling east on Middle Road approaching the intersection of County Route 29.

A 2004 Pontiac, operated by Penny A. Morehouse, 48, from Redwood, NY, was headed north on CR 29 when Trooper Parsons failed to stop at the stop sign, enter the intersection, causing Morehouse to strike the patrol car on the passenger’s side, according to the report.

Both vehicles then travelled off the northeast corner of the intersection and coming to rest in an open field.

Trooper Parsons was transported to Upstate Medical center for treatment of a minor facial abrasion and lower back pain.

He is a 28-year veteran of the State Police.

Ms. Morehouse was transported to Upstate Medical Center by Menter Ambulance for treatment of left hip and chest pain.

The investigation is continuing.
