BREWERTON, NY – As the month of May comes to an end we start to get into the heat of the summer racing season as Tony Steiner and Matt Fink are this week’s “NAPA Know How Performers Of The Week”.
Friday night, May 25th Tony Steiner behind the wheel of his NYTECH Supply, No.13 Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified ran the best race of his career at the Brewerton Speedway. Steiner led the majority of the race till a cylinder went on his car with 10 laps to go while leading. His tenth place finish was no indication of what a run Steiner had.
After the 2011 season Matt Fink and his dad David decided that an equipment upgrade was needed to further Matt’s racing career. Those changes have paid off in 2012 with Fink sitting in the top five in points at both the Brewerton and Fulton Speedways.
Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway was the icing on the cake so far in 2012 as Fink picked up the narrow Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified win of 0.122 of a second over Mike Mahaney. For Fink it was his first ever Fulton Speedway win.
For their performances, both Steiner and Fink, will receive $100 “NAPA Know How Performer of The Week” that is awarded weekly at both Brewerton and Fulton Speedways to one driver that outperforms all others that week across all classes.
The new NAPA Brewerton and Fulton Speedway Racer Discount Card are again in place. Each active speedway competitor will receive a NAPA card that will provide discounted pricing on most racing related purchases throughout the 2012 race season. Drivers will need to sign up with Speedway officials to be eligible for the program.
