Stella A. Delia, 91, formerly of Gregory St. Oswego, passed away June 9, 2011 at St. Luke Health Services.
Born in Douglas, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Maciag) Polczak.
She was a graduate of Pulaski Academy in 1938.
Stella owned and operated Lambrino’s Cleaners with her husband for over 30 years.
She loved to dance and polka. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was a member of the PLAV Ladies Aux.
Surviving are two daughters, Vincenza (Al) Bowes of Las Vegas and Dolores Stancil of Colorado; a son, Stanley (Patricia) Delia of Oswego; a daughter-in-law, Doretta Newstead-Delia of Oregon; two brothers, Raymond (Mary) Polczak of Oswego; Ted “Theodore” (Beverly) Polczak of Mexico; three sisters, Virginia Doviak of Oswego; Lucy Emery of Mexico; Lavinia Ballard of Texas; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Espedito “Steve” Delia, a son Frank Delia and a sister, Irene Petta.
Funeral Services will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Paul’s Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
