FULTON – Every Halloween, children across the United States carry around orange boxes when they go trick-or-treating. Instead of just asking for candy, they also collect money for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
The group uses the money to provide medicine, clean water and other resources to children in need worldwide.
The Blue Team at Stepping Stones Day Program has made this a part of their trick-or-treating experience for the last three years.
This year, the class set a goal of raising $125.
Once all of the generous donations from Fulton City School District and Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation staff members were counted in math class, the students declared a victory because they raised their goal amount.
