Stewart Award Presented To Quirk’s Players


FULTON – Recently, Quirk’s Players of G. Ray Bodley High School presented its 2016 annual musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!

 Mrs. Stewart's mother, Olga Vinciquerra, is shown presenting this year's award to Brandon Webb while Mrs. Stewart's son, Glenn, presents the other award to Erica Perwitz. In the back are Quirk's Players' directors Rob Lescarbeau, Tom Briggs and Thomas Nami.

At the Saturday evening performance, the 2016 Jacalyn Stewart Award For Achievement in Musical Theatre was presented.

Given in memory of former G. Ray Bodley High School Principal Jacalyn Vinciquerra-Stewart, the award recognizes two outstanding seniors who set high performance standards and who excel on stage in the annual musical.

Honored with the 2016 Stewart Award this year were GRB seniors Brandon Webb and Erica Perwitz.

Perwitz appeared in Oklahoma! as Laurey Williams while Webb appeared as the dark farmhand Jud Fry.
