Stopping Bullying The Focus at Fulton Junior High

Submitted article

Fulton Junior High School is proclaiming “Anti-Bullying Week” as October 4 – 8. The Junior Raiders will have a special assembly and a special guest speaker to focus on this increasingly critical topic.

On Wednesday, September 29th, students will attend a general assembly and spend time in their homerooms being taught what bullying is and hosting discussions. Students will also make posters that will be judged, with the winning homeroom wining donuts and cider the next morning.

On October 8th, the Jr. High will welcome Mr. Keith Deltano for a school-wide performance of his show “Don’t Bully.” Mr. Deltano has worked with youths for many years in various roles, including as a military police officer, public school teacher, youth leader, private counselor, and educational comedian.  The program begins at 8:00 a.m.

For more information regarding this special presentation at Fulton Jr. High, please contact Mrs. Donna Parkhurst or Mr. Ryan Lanigan at 593-5440. If you would like more information regarding this topic and Mr. Deltano, please visit www.dontbullyonline.com.
