Strategies in Pest Management for Agricultural Commodities Workshop

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County is sponsoring a pest management workshop entitled, “Strategies in Pest Management for Agricultural Commodities” on Monday, December 14, 2009 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Cooperative Extension Office, 3288 Main Street, Mexico, NY. The course will provide information to agriculture producers on strategies to prevent economic loss from pests affecting vegetable, fruit, greenhouse and field/forage crops.

Pesticide applicator recertification credits have been approved by DEC in categories 1a (4 credits), 21 (1 credit), 22 (1 credit), 23 (1 credit), 24 (1 credit), 10 (4 credits). For those private applicators for already have 25% of their credits in their respective commodity, this workshop will provide four additional credits in a one-day format. The cost of the program is $25 for the whole day, which includes lunch; or, $5 per person per session (without lunch).
