OSWEGO — Sixteen SUNY Oswego art students will display their work starting Friday, Oct. 7, in the “Oswego State Printmaking Students of Kelly Roe” exhibition at Oswego State Downtown.
The opening reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 7, and the free exhibition will run through Dec. 3.
Using both traditional (linocuts and etching) and digital media, students of Roe, an assistant professor in SUNY Oswego’s art department, explored layering, collage and mixed media in the development of a monotype that explores the theme “A Personal Narrative.” The exhibition is in conjunction with the yearlong Artswego thread, “Telling Tales.”
Student exhibitors will include Amanda Bernard, Jennifer Blanchard, Nilson Carroll, Luzmaria Cruz, Zachary DeMarsh, Joseph Donegan, Jonathan French, Alexandria Hough, Noelle Machin, Kelly McDorman, Stephanie Macmaster, Jessica Panicola, Nicholas Russell, Gina Sherwood, Angela Varos and Julie Wing.
Oswego State Downtown, a branch of The College Store at West First and Bridge streets, is open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 216-4985.
