Students Learn the Economics of Success

OSWEGO – Students in the Oswego YMCA Homeschool Extension Program recently took steps to prepare for their financial futures.

Students who successfully completed the class were recognized for their efforts and awarded certificates of achievement.

Through a partnership with the Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club, students participated in a six-week class on financial literacy.

During that time, they covered essential principals including; education and career planning, budgeting, and credit.

Thanks go to Amy Murphy of the YMCA Homeschool Extension Program and the volunteers of Oswego Sunrise Rotary (Carol Reed, George Reed, and Nicholas Barnes) for their time and effort dedicated to this class.

Special thanks also go to Junior Achievement, USA for crafting the class program and helping to make this event possible.
