FULTON, NY Ã¢â‚¬â€œ The United WayÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Success By 6 Program wants first-time parents to know that children do come with directions.
Executive Director of the United Way of Greater Oswego County Melanie Trexler has announced that the Success By 6 Program has recently published an informative book that will provide first-time parents with valuable information that will help them be responsible and effective parents.
Entitled, Children Do Come With Directions, A Guide for Parents, the book is a comprehensive guide that is filled with must have information for first-time parents including:
The different stages of the first five years of a childÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s life.
The importance of learning activities in the home before the child enters pre-school or kindergarten.
The meaning behind certain actions a child does.
How a parent / caregivers actions reflect upon how the child grows up to act.
In addition the book also includes:
Important numbers and parent resources.
Pages to record immunizations, and what shots are needed when.
The different stages of development.
Important nutrition concepts.
Literacy development tips.
Health and safety guidelines.
Family life situations, what to do when your child doesÃ¢â‚¬Â¦
Trexler noted that many parents and caregivers find themselves in situations with their child that they donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t know how to handle.
This book is designed help them find the answers to their questions and guide them in the right direction so that they are able to raise a child ready and developed to enter school.
