OSWEGO, NY – A free suicide prevention seminar, with light refreshments, will be hosted by the United Baptist Church of Scriba.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. on May 17 at the American Legion located at 69 W. Bridge St. in Oswego.
International speaker, author, and Christian Suicide Prevention founder Dawn J. Epting will be the guest speaker.
Christian Suicide Prevention has volunteers nationwide and receives calls from all over the United States.

Epting is a visionary author/speaker and founder of a faith-based suicide prevention hotline that has assisted callers from all over the nation.
She delivers speeches that encompass faith, suicide prevention and business.
Epting obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland, University College while serving in the U.S. Air Force in Ramstein, Germany.
Her military tour took her to such places as California, Korea, Germany, England, and France.
She speaks concerning corporate vision, strategic planning, corporate social responsibility and entrepreneurship through her company Dawn Epting Inc.
Her business acumen is rooted in serving as a business adviser to countless companies and a history of financial planning as a Licensed Investment Adviser. As an Air Force Budget Analyst, she managed budgets of approximately $30 million at one time.
