SUNY Canton Out-Kicks Oswego State Men’s Soccer 1-0

CANTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State men’s soccer team hit the road for the first time this season on Friday and settled for their first loss of the year thanks to a late first-half goal by SUNY-Canton, earning the Kangaroos a 1-0 win.

The Lakers (2-1) had six shots on goal, including three from Bryan Paccahiana (Sr., Cortlandt Manor, NY), who saw action for the first time this season.

The Roos (1-4) had just four shots on goal, but out-shot the Lakers 12-6 overall.

Francesco Cardillo scored the game-winner with just over a minute left in the first half.  Laker goalkeeper P.J. Goodwin (Sr., Baldwinsville, N.Y.) kept the visitors in the game the rest of the way with his three saves, but the offense could not muster a goal.

The Lakers will be back at home on Saturday, September 10 when they host Nazareth (2-0) at 4 p.m. at Laker Field.
