SUNY Canton Recognizes Area Dean’s List Students


CANTON, NY – Area students were recently named to the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall 2013 semester at SUNY Canton.

“Congratulations to our Dean’s List students for the fall 2013 semester! The provost, deans, faculty and I are very proud of the way you applied your best efforts to the semester’s coursework,” said SUNY Canton Acting President Joseph C. Hoffman. “The work ethic and the enthusiasm for learning you develop here at the College will serve you well in your professional careers after graduation.”

Dean’s List requires full-time students to achieve a grade point average of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.

Among the students to receive Dean’s List Honors were:

Kayla Gilbert a SUNY Canton Nursing major from Bernhards Bay. Gilbert is a 2012 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School.

Rose Thompson a SUNY Canton Health Science Career Studies major from Cato. Thompson is a 2013 graduate of Cato-Meridian High School.

Nicholas R. Baxter a SUNY Canton Mechanical Technology major from Central Square. Baxter is a 2013 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School.

Paige L. Pecori a SUNY Canton Individual Studies major from Central Square. Pecori is a 2012 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School.

Jenesse M. Watson a SUNY Canton Physical Therapist Assistant major from Cleveland. Watson is a 2012 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School.

Gregory D. Gelsi a SUNY Canton Alternative and Renewable Energy Systems major from Martville. Gelsi is a 2011 graduate of Hannibal Central School.

Dalton Moore a SUNY Canton Civil and Environmental Technology major from Mexico. Moore is a 2011 graduate of Freeport Area Senior High School.

Dusten S. Wells a SUNY Canton Civil and Environmental Technology major from Mexico. Wells is a 2006 graduate of Mexico Academy and Central School.

Destini Carter a SUNY Canton Criminal Justice major from Oswego. Carter is a 2012 graduate of Oswego High School.

MacKenzie Woodridge a SUNY Canton Criminal Investigation major from Parish. Woodridge is a 2013 graduate of Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School.

Kimberly A. Grant a SUNY Canton Finance major from Sandy Creek. Grant is a 1998 graduate of Sandy Creek Central School.

Dillon P. Mccanney a SUNY Canton Electrical Engineering Technology major from West Monroe. Mccanney is a 2013 graduate of Paul V. Moore High School.
