SUNY Oswego To Observe College Colors Day Sept. 26

Submitted article

The first SUNY Oswego College Colors Day will be Friday, Sept. 26. Alumni and fans of the college as well as students, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear green and gold apparel that day to celebrate and promote the traditions and spirit of SUNY Oswego.

The Oswego Farmers Market the day before — Thursday, Sept. 25 — will welcome SUNY Oswego students back to their home away from home. The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce is hosting the welcoming market in conjunction with the Campus-City Relations Committee.

“Together, the Welcome Back Farmers Market and College Colors Day will raise community spirit and build a sense of pride in the college and between the college and the community,” said Nancy Bellow, executive director of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations.

Oswego State Downtown, at the Bridge Street entrance to the Farmers Market on West First Street, will sell clothing appropriate for College Colors Day during the Farmers Market and leading up to the celebratory day.

Green and gold apparel is also available at the retail outlet in the Campus Center at the foot of Washington Boulevard at SUNY Oswego as well as from other merchants in and around Oswego.
