Syracuse Man Charged with Criminal Sex Act, Sexual Abuse


FULTON, NY – On Tuesday (March 24), Fulton Police charged Eric M. Snyder, 30, of Turtle Street in Syracuse, with multiple counts of sexual acts against a child, following an investigation into alleged abuse that occurred nearly 10 years ago.

Fulton Police state that a victim came forward and reported being a victim of sexual abuse allegedly perpetrated by Snyder when the victim was a child.

Investigation revealed that the alleged abuse was believed to have occurred during the summer of 2005 while Snyder lived in the city of Fulton.

Snyder was charged with the following offenses:

Criminal Sex Act 1st degree (two counts) – class B felony
Sexual Abuse 1st degree – class D felony

Snyder was arraigned in Fulton City Court by Judge Hawthorne and released on his own recognizance, pending a return court date of 3/24/15.

Fulton Police are continuing the investigation into this incident.

At this time, there is no indication of other victims.
