OSWEGO, NY – Syrell Racing and Hawk Chassis are partnering once again for the return of their Supermodified racing calendar for the upcoming 2015 season.
Last season Syrell Racing put together the inaugural Supermodified calendar featuring 13 local models, including Speedway trophy girls Caylee Heagerty and Mackenzie Coleman. The project was built as a fundraising effort for the Syrell Racing No. 68 Supermodified team. The project will return for 2015, with a new twist.
“This year I have invited all of the Hawk Chassis car owners to take part in the project, including Dalton Doyle’s exclusive Small Block Super,” said Syrell Racing co-owner, Eric Syrell. “It is my plan to make this a compilation of as many Hawk Chassis Supermodifieds as possible, which will no doubt be impressive for our teams and fans alike. These calendars will feature our local teams and sponsors, and will be posted on garage walls all around the country. Last year, we sold calendars as far west as California and into Canada.”
Once again, the project will feature several local aspiring models with Robert J. Clark Photography again handling all photo opportunities.
“Every race fan at Oswego knows what a great job Bob does,” said Syrell. “The photos will be tasteful and professional yet again, with Bob capturing the perfect blend between speed and beauty. Shooting for the calendar will begin this Saturday at the Speedway.”
Once completed, calendars will again be on sale for $10 with proceeds serving as a fundraising effort for the Syrell Racing Supermodified team and driver Michael Barnes.
The calendar will run from May 2015 – April 2016.
“I am very proud to say that we have commitments from enough teams to fill half of the calendar space and are in negotiations with many more,” said Syrell. “We will not be making any money off the other car owners involved, but will equally share the print cost among those involved.”
