UPDATE: The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has identified the second victim of an assault/homicide case in West Monroe on September 10. The second victim of the assault is 59-year-old Michael Shane of 451 County Route 11, West Monroe. Oswego County Undersheriff Eugene Sullivan said Matthew R. LeBoeuf, 33, charged with mudering Robert Diffin, 42, and leaving a second victim in critical condition did know the victims. Deputies are investigating to determine the capacity of their relationship.
The suspect of an assault at SUNY Oswego has been apprehended, identified and is pending charges according to a campus wide announcement delivered around 10:30 tonight (December 9.) The suspect, identified as Eric DeBrose, was allegedly involved in an assault against a Seneca Hall resident during the afternoon hours earlier the same day.
A city man who called police claiming he had been assault was himself arrested over the weekend. In the course of their investigation, police discovered allegedly unlawfully possessed hypodermic instruments in his residence. The assault investigation is on-going.
On Sunday, at about 8:49 a.m., a victim reported that at about 3 that morning she had been assaulted by an adult male, with whom the victim had a prior relationship and during the assault was unlawfully restrained.
On July 23, at about 11:23 p.m., Oswego City Police Officers patrolling on foot in the area of West Fourth Street / Lake Street in the city of Oswego observed a physical altercation in progress.
On Saturday morning, a female victim reported to Oswego Police that she had been sexually assaulted during the early morning hours while walking in the area of West Seneca Street at West Sixth Street. The investigation is continuing.
At about 2:57 a.m. today (July 2), Oswego Police were dispatched to a residence on East Sixth Street in the city. Upon arrival and initial investigation, it was determined that four men had allegedly engaged an adult male victim in a physical altercation outside the victimâ€™s East Sixth Street residence. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said. The four alleged attackers were arrested a short time later.
BREAKING NEWS: An east side Oswego man is in jail this morning after allegedly striking another man in the head with a metal bat. The investigation into the incident is continuing. The victim is being treated at a Syracuse hospital.
Following a month-long, joint investigation between the Oswego County SheriffÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Department and the Oswego County Department of Social Services Child Protection Unit, sheriffÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s investigators have announced the arrest of an Oswego Town couple.
The case against a Fulton teenager who was arrested after allegedly causing serious injuries to his 18-month-old daughter will see its next days in a grand jury room. Robby J. Guppy, 17, of 604 E. Broadway, upstairs apartment, was slated to appear in Fulton City Court Wednesday. Instead, his attorney waived the charges to Oswego County Court. Guppy has been free on bail since Aug. 18.
